The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) has invited firms to pilot a new approach to work-based learning that will mark the end of current training contract arrangements. Firms are to develop training and assessment schemes that will enable students to qualify without a formal training contract. The schemes could become templates for firms without the resources to develop their own training contract and form the backbone of training programmes. Contact: simon.bullock @sra.org.uk.
