Trick treat: While some aspire to the magic circle of law firms, Marc Sosnow, a corporate finance lawyer at City firm Nicholson Graham & Jones, has managed the arguably more impressive achievement of joining the real Magic Circle.

His interest in magic began as a child when he saw a magician producing a rabbit from a top hat, a press release explained.

As Marc had a rabbit at home, he attempted the trick.

To his dismay, the rabbit ate the hat and ran off.

Not to be discouraged, Mr Sosnow took up the hobby and later began performing at childrens parties as Kimbo the Magician.

He has since appeared on Channel 4 and travelled to the US and Middle East for charity.

Yet one does have to question the involvement of a no doubt upright lawyer with a business where sleight of hand is a key skill.

But we suppose it could make filling out timesheets easier.
