May I thank not only the Gazette and Title Research for my award in the Lifetime Achievement Personal Client category of the Gazette's centenary awards, but also all those lawyers who have sent me their best wishes.
I believe this demonstrates that 'elderly client work' has now come of age and is being recognised as a distinct category of law for which solicitors require training.
My award was given partly for my work with Solicitors for the Elderly, and I hope the publicity will ensure that all those solicitors working in this area will take advantage of membership.
