Hugh James is rolling out the WinScribe digital dictation workflow solution from SRC across all five of its Welsh offices. The solution was piloted by staff in the employment and company commercial departments in the Cardiff office and will now be rolled out to a further 150 fee-earners and 90 secretaries across the firm.
Midlands firm Howes Percival has invested more than £120,000 with AIM's technical services division to implement scalable technological infrastructure capable of carrying an increasing volume of data. The infrastructure is based on storage area networks, a high speed sub network of shared storage devices.
AIM has also implemented PacketShaper, an application traffic management system from Packeteer, at Shropshire firm Lanyon Bowdler. The system protects against network performance disruptions and guarantees bandwidth control.
London firm Mishcon de Reya has opted for the Thomson Elite financial and practice management solution. The solution includes Elite WebView, a browser-based, intuitive software interface that provides instant access to real-time information for fee-earners whether they are operating in the office, at home, in the UK or overseas. The new system also includes Elite's time and billing modules.
Myers Fletcher & Gordon, the largest law firm in the English-speaking Caribbean, has selected Videss to provide an IT solution for its 20-user London office, which it opened in 1995. The system will include time recording, document management and a built in workflow building toolkit, as well as systems support and computer facilities management services. Swansea family law practice Avery Naylor has also chosen Videss's legal office practice and case management system.
Essex firm Birkett Long has chosen Nflow digital dictation software. The implementation will see over 80 of the firm's 140 staff using nflow across its offices in Colchester, Halstead and Chelmsford.
City firms Ashurst and Macfarlanes have signed up with Solcara for its SolSearch multiple information resources search application, which can search both internal and external sources.
