Women for women

I read with interest your article on Anita Roddick regarding the lack of support groups for businesswomen (see [2001] Gazette, 17 May, 4).

I am the founder member of a group of women lawyers, called With Women In Mind, at Rooks Rider. Our group was formed in response to the growing demand of female clients and contacts for a service focusing on legal issues that particularly concern women and for networking events attended mainly by women. In addition to providing information through our Web site and newsletters, we also run networking events and informative presentations.Over recent years I have seen many women's groups emerge, such as the on-line networking groups 'Digitaleve.co.uk' and 'busygirl.co.uk'.

I recently attended a conference for women, organised by women from 'everywoman.co.uk' and IBM called 'Businesswomen On The Move', at which members of our group very much enjoyed the opportunity to network with and learn from the inspirational talks given by prominent women entrepreneurs.Clare Foinette, Rooks Rider,London EC1
