Young and proud of it
From the look of his trophy, you might think Andrew Sparrow has won an award for spinning boomerangs around his wrists.
Actually, he scooped the legal award at the Birmingham Young Professional of the Year ceremony held by lobby group Birmingham Forward and the Birmingham Post newspaper.
In the past year, Mr Sparrow has written two books on e-commerce law, and holds directorships in several non-profit organisations in Birmingham.
He beat off Alex Bishop of DLA and Karl Barnfather of Withers & Rogers for the award.
Presumably there was relief at Hammond Suddards Edge - which got its name in lights by sponsoring the main young professional of the year award - that it did not have to honour a solicitor; the award was taken by a property developer.
