Fancy a good news story ahead of your weekend? Try this tale of perseverance paying off for one enterprising job-seeker.
We reported earlier this month on law graduate Thomas Isaac, who was struggling to find work and decided to take a novel – and ultimately old-fashioned – approach and deliver his CV in person. He started out from his home in south west London and vowed to keep visiting law firm offices in a spiralling radius until he got a bite.
Well, this story has a happy ending. One of the firms he came upon was Kastle Solicitors which just happened to have a paralegal position available. Two weeks after dropping off his CV, he had accepted a job offer.
‘I was in the right place at the right time, but I never would’ve been in the right place had I not put myself out there,’ said Isaac.
‘I will forever be grateful to everyone who offered support these past couple of weeks, and I am incredibly excited to see what the next few years will bring.’
We wish him a long and happy career in the law.
