Common complaint [letter to the editor]I am tired of reading… that solicitors are unfairly penalised by being under an obligation to provide clients with full details of how to complain. I can only assume these lofty souls have never visited a supermarket. Yesterday, in my local Tesco, I noticed a prominently placed sign inviting clients with any complaints to make them to the customer service desk. On a box of cereal that I purchased, a notice stated that Tesco was ‘happy to refund or replace any product that fell below the high standard that you expect’… Those solicitors who have studied management will know that an open and efficient complaints system is an essential part of good customer care and that the positive aspects far outweigh the negative ones.
