Plenty of partners on the move this week. Starting in the City, DLA takes on two magic circle solicitors as partners in its project finance team: Debbie Barbour joins from Clifford Chance and Anil Mehta from Allen & Overy.

Ann Ison: joins Hughes Fowler Carruthers

Former KLegal partner Peter Bradley rejoins the corporate finance practice at Stephenson Harwood.

Mishcon de Reya has hired property partner Daniel Lipman from Berwin Leighton Paisner.

Marriott Harrison has hired corporate partner Rosemary Jackson from Denton Wilde Sapte.

In north London, Hodge Jones & Allen promotes four to partner: Judith Cass (housing), Vicky King (human rights), Toby Hales (family) and Helen Sheeran (family).

Corporate and commercial specialist Nadeem Akhtar leaves Turbervilles to set up Tavistock Law in High Wycombe.


In Reading, partner Kerry Fretwell joins Blandy & Blandy’s family team from London firm Manches.

To Cardiff, where Evesheds’ head of claims management Helen Molyneux moves to New Law as managing partner.

In Nottingham, commercial dispute resolution associate Mark Hacking is promoted to associate partner at Edwards Geldard.


Seven are promoted to partner at DWF. In Liverpool: Andrew Davies (construction), Jeanne Evans (insurance), Maria Burquest (dispute resolution), and Mark Poulston (pensions). In Manchester: Anita Gupta (property), David Astbury (dispute resolution) and Matthew Yates (head of the Manchester employment team).


Mark Broadhead, previously head of retail compliance at financial services company Royal London Group, joins Beachcroft Wansbroughs in Manchester to develop its financial services practice.


In Germany, Lovells takes on dispute resolution partner Daniel Busse in Frankfurt from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Hamburg.


Over the Atlantic, Linklaters hires structured finance and derivatives partner Gary Barnett to its New York office from US firm Shearman & Sterling.

Assistant solicitor Tamara Campbell leaves TWM in Surrey to join the commercial litigation team at City firm Kingsley Napley.




Davis Linklater: litigator appointed by Shoosmiths

In Cornwall, Coodes gains two assistant solicitors: Sandra Srivastava joins the litigation team in St Austell from Bartons in Kingsbridge, while Rachel Meeks qualifies into the employment and litigation practice in Truro.

Fiona Dillon joins Ricksons’ Preston office as senior associate in charge of the private client team from Keoghs in Bolton.

In the City, Natasha Peacock joins Beachcroft Wansboughs’ financial services team as a legal and regulatory consultant from financial services firm HHG, where she was compliance technical manager.


On the south coast, Janice Pond joins Ellis Jones in Swanage as head of probate from Canford Cliffs in Poole.


In Birmingham, personal injury and litigation consultant Christopher Ball joins KJ Conroy & Co from Simpson & Co
