In Kent, two are promoted to director at Aletta Shaw in Bexleyheath: Hazel Scanlon (family and conveyancing) and Richard Andrews (employment and litigation).


In Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, Bob McGeady joins the commercial services and property teams at Kester Cunningham John from Steeles in Norwich, where he was an associate.



Further north, Julian Hawkhead is promoted to partner in Grahame Stowe Bateson’s family team in Leeds.



Harmajinder Hayre leaves Hammonds to become a partner in the employment team at Beachcroft Wansbroughs in Leeds.

Jeremy Edwards joins the employment team at City firm Baker & McKenzie as a senior associate from Allen & Overy, where he was a senior assistant solicitor.



Carl Thompson leaves City firm Nabarro Nathanson to join the construction practice at Freeth Cartwright in Nottingham as a senior associate.

In Cheshire, litigator Debra Maguire moves to Neil Myerson in Altrincham as an assistant solicitor from Olwang’s Reading office.



Five are promoted to associate at north-west firm Forbes: Ridwaan Omar (defendant insurance), Lucy Harris (serious claims unit), Elizabeth Cass (defendant insurance), Ian Lee (magistrates’ court work) and Mohsin Hassan (claimant personal injury).

Four commercial property assistant solicitors join Lupton Fawcett in Leeds: Sean Romain from Clarks in Reading; Lydia Wood and Narinder Sanghera from Gordons in Bradford; and Emma Roche, who qualifies into the department. Assistant solicitor Andrew Francey joins the company commercial team from Addleshaw Goddard’s Leeds office, while Emma Beckwith joins the trusts, wills and estates department after qualifying with Askews in Redcar.
