City firm Stephenson Harwood recruits Paul Reeves, who joins the employment group. He moves from the London office of US firm McDermott Will & Emery.
Paul Hastings Janofsky & Walker hires Michelle English as a partner in its private equity practice. She moves from fellow US firm Kirkland & Ellis.
In west London, criminal litigator Richard Gowthorpe joins Lansbury Worthington as a partner from Stringfellow & Gowthorpe, which has been dissolved.
Tom Howell joins specialist real estate firm BrookStreet des Roches in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. He was previously head of the commercial property group at Clarkslegal in Reading.
Liverpool-based niche professional indemnity firm Legal Risk recruits Francis Dingwall as a partner from Henmans in Oxford, where he was joint head of the professional negligence and commercial litigation department.
In Manchester, Stephen Ellis is appointed as head of real estate at Boote Edgar Esterkin having previously headed the property finance team at DWF.

South London firm Russell-Cooke adds two to its commercial property group – Rakhee Kotecha from Rodgers & Burton and Katy Peacock from Clifford Chance.
Lansbury Worthington boosts its team with a number of criminal litigators following the dissolution of Stringfellow & Gowthorpe – assistants Farrah Al-jarrah, Katy O’Mara and Naomi Alcendor, and non-practising barrister Tom Garner.
Memery Crystal welcomes back Michelle Hinde-Smith, who left the firm as a junior corporate fee-earner, and returns as an associate after six years as an in-house commercial lawyer for Formula One Management Limited.
Leaving the capital is Henry Adams, who joins the shipping, logistics and international services team at Ipswich-based Birketts. He was previously at City firm Clyde & Co.
