Will Rosen joins the corporate group at DLA Piper. He was previously at US firm Weil Gotshal & Manges and joins DLA after a break.



Speechly Bircham appoints Ian Reid as a partner in the construction and engineering group. He moves from Kennedys.



Scott Santocki joins Seddons as a partner and head of the employment unit. He was previously at Denton Wilde Sapte.



Specialist energy and shipping law firm CDG promotes Rob Jardine-Brown to partner.



McDermott Will & Emery makes up four to partner – Brigid Breslin (corporate), Rohan Massey (intellectual property, media and technology), Prajakt Samant (banking and finance) and Stuart Sinclair (tax). The firm now has 35 partners in London.



National firm Pinsent Masons hires project finance specialist Nicholas Iliff to its London office from DLA Piper.



US firm Shearman & Sterling recruits US capital markets partner Jacques McChesney from Latham & Watkins.



In the Thames Valley, Boyes Turner promotes corporate specialist Rachel Fitzpatrick to partner.



In Oxford, Henmans makes up three partners in the professional indemnity team – Philip Evans, Andrew Crocombe and Katherine Gregory. The firm now has 24 partners.



Moving to East Anglia, commercial property specialist Jonathan Greenhalgh joins Birketts in Norwich from Prettys in Ipswich.



Further north, employment specialist Phil Allen joins Mace & Jones in Manchester from Beachcroft.



Manchester firm Halliwells hires property finance expert Gisella Alberici as a partner from Heatons.



Carol Bailey joins the real estate team at Hempsons in Harrogate. She was previously at Rollits in York.



On Merseyside, Liverpool firm JST Lawyers promotes employment law specialist Neil Gouldson to partner.



In the north-east, environment partner Stuart Wardlaw rejoins Newcastle firm Dickinson Dees.



Carlisle-based Burnetts hires construction and engineering specialist Jonathan Marshall from Ward Hadaway in Newcastle.



And finally, in the south-west, Foot Anstey recruits Duncan Sykes as a corporate finance partner in its Exeter office. He moves from Wilsons in Salisbury.

In London, Kendall Freeman appoints Alifya Bharmal as an insurance associate from the Cambridge office of Mills & Reeve.



Oxford firm Henmans promotes four to associate – professional indemnity specialists Samantha Oliver and Katharine Riley, Fiona Campbell-White in the charities probate litigation team, and conveyancing specialist Helen Ross.



To the Midlands, where Humphrey Halford joins the commercial property team at Wright Hassall in Leamington Spa from Arnold Thomson in Towcester.



Cartwright King promotes four criminal defence specialists to associate – Liz Dean and Neil O’Sullivan (Nottingham), Martin Smith (Derby) and Andrew Bolc (Leicester). Riad Ahmed and Victoria Rutherford join the business defence team in Nottingham after qualifying at the firm.



Several appointments at Hempsons in Yorkshire: Tim Saunders joins as a senior commercial solicitor from Tilly Bailey & Irvine, where he was head of IT and commercial law, Philippa Richler-Potts joins as a senior healthcare solicitor from Bevan Brittan in Manchester, employment law specialist Julia Roberts joins from Halliwells, Wai-Cheung Pang joins the construction team from Eric Wright Group, and Faisal Dhalla joins as a corporate solicitor from Ford & Warren in Leeds.

Manchester firm Halliwells recruits Carrie Hodge from Heatons as an associate in the real estate group.



Music law specialist Eleanor Brody joins sports firm IPS Law. She developed a music practice while at Laytons in Manchester.



And finally, Southampton firm Paris Smith & Randall hires Joseph Campbell as a property finance assistant from Manby Steward Bowdler in Wolverhampton.
