City firm Clyde & Co adds cruise ship and super-yacht partner Paul Turner to its ship finance and transactional practice from Clifford Chance.



Richard Marke becomes a partner in the commerce and technology practice of City firm LG from Travers Smith.



Simon Gamblin leaves US firm Covington & Burling to become a corporate partner at Barlow Lyde & Gilbert. His practice spans financial services, aerospace, life sciences, technology, media and telecoms.



US firm Fulbright & Jaworski promotes two senior associates to partnership in its London office: dispute resolution lawyer Antony Corsi and international arbitration lawyer Richard Hill.



Jason Eades is made up to residential property partner at London firm Pemberton Greenish.



Elsewhere in the south, Essex firm Wortley Byers recruits Michael Callaghan from local firm Wollastons to its litigation department. Nick Traill steps up from associate to partner in the corporate team.



Southern firm Thomas Eggar takes on Richard Jordan as a partner in its Chichester-based private client group, from City firm LG.



In the north-west, Manchester personal injury firm Fentons promotes Damian Bradley and Daniel Lee to partnership.



James Roden leaves DLA Piper in Manchester to join the recently opened Manchester office of

defendant insurance firm Greenwoods.

Chester firm Aaron & Partners hires corporate associate Rachel Owen from Halliwells in Liverpool. The firm also recruits five assistant solicitors: Rishi Maudhub (commercial property) from Rowlands; Catherine McCartney (employment) from Kuit Steinart Levy; Vikki Woodfine (road safety) from Hammonds; Caroline Hayward (planning) from Geoffrey Miller; and Naomi Parkes (property) from McHale & Co, Altrincham.



South Manchester firm Express promotes Rachel Flannigan to personal injury associate.



Personal injury firm Fentons promotes seven to associate in its Manchester office: Tulser Goodwin, Gary Herbert, Stephen Hill, Martin James, Jenny Keith, Anna Tyler and Stephen Warren. The firm also promotes Lisa Chadwick and Vijay Mehan to associate in its London office.



Sally Sommerville leaves DLA Piper to become an assistant solicitor at Manchester defendant insurance firm Greenwoods.



In the north-east, Teesside firm Jacksons recruits four assistants: Lesley Davis (commercial property) from Stewart Thompson & Francis in Australia; Inderjit Gill (commercial litigation) from Watson Burton; Nicola Howarth (commercial property) from Archers; and Colin Walsh (company/commercial) from KPMG.



Five-partner Newcastle firm Gibson & Co takes on private client associate David Bawn from local firm Browell Smith.

Assistant solicitor Michelle Cheatle leaves Peterborough firm Waller Needham & Green for Huntingdon criminal law practice Potter Shelley & Co.



Alun Tobias leaves Beachcroft in Bristol for the Cardiff office of Hugh James. He joins as an associate in the construction, energy and projects team.
