Moving west, Morgan Cole promotes corporate lawyer Paul Hardman to partner in its Bristol office.



In the West Midlands, Wragge & Co appoints nine new partners. In Birmingham: Toby Askin and Jonathon Wilkes (real estate), Sharon Ayres (corporate), Paul Green (construction), Luke Kempton (intellectual property), Richard Lee (employment), and Greg Standing (finance litigation); in London: Alexandra Brodie (intellectual property) and Karen Howard (real estate).



To the north, where Helen Fagg joins the Leeds office of Robin Simon as a partner from Beachcroft in Leeds.



Shulmans in Leeds appoints David Barraclough as a partner in its real estate team; he was previously a director at Lupton Fawcett.



JMW makes up Lindsey Bell (employment) and Scott Sands (corporate), both in its Manchester office.

Central London firm Bishop & Sewell recruits Monika Pirani as a senior matrimonial solicitor; she was previously a partner at Christian Khan.



London insurance firm Davies Lavery appoints David Brown as an associate from Berrymans Lace Mawer in Manchester, where he was a partner.



South-west firm Stephens & Scown appoints two to its employment team in Exeter: associate Laura McFadyen from Paris Smith & Randall in Southampton, and assistant David Hodge from Lyons Davidson in Bristol.



Former barrister Shaheen Mansoor joins Langleys’ regulatory and corporate defence department in York as an assistant, while Madeline Emptage joins the firm’s real estate unit from Raworths in Harrogate.



Jacksons appoints four assistants to its Stockton-on-Tees office: Lesley Davis from Stewart Thompson & Francis in Victoria, Australia, and Nicola Howarth from Archers in Stockton both join the commercial property team, while Inderjit Gill (commercial litigation) joins from Watson Burton in Newcastle, and Colin Walsh (company/commercial) from KPMG in Newcastle.
