PetSavers is the charitable division of the British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA). PetSavers is dedicated to improving the health of pets, providing vets with a better understanding of the illnesses that affect animals.

Our pets provide us with love and companionship during our lives. We take care of them and seek expert help and advice from our vet when they fall ill or are injured. We want our animals to be treated to the highest standards. However, there are still many diseases, like many human conditions, that we do not fully understand.

PetSavers aims to change this by funding studies into the illnesses affecting our pets and Masters degrees which aim to advance the skills of vets. PetSavers has already had success in gaining a better understanding of many common diseases such as diabetes, kidney failure, cancer, heart disease, arthritis and skin complaints.

Any investigation funded my PetSavers into a pet diseases is undertaken to the highest ethical, scientific and veterinary standards and none of the work involves experimental animals.
