Anon 09:46. Of course £2 is cheaper. I mean it costs nearly as much in stamps, but that isn’t the point. The head of the SRA shouldn’t be doing press releases or engaging with the FT about one particular firm who didn’t really need to pay any regard to AI at all when they applied for their licence. If it’s not autonomous then it’s like telling the SRA you’ll be using Practical Law and the White Book! Why should Garfield get any kind of special attention from the SRA in national newspapers? If that was poorly thought through by the SRA then fair enough (I forgive them) but it is another example of them getting things wrong and that’s the concern. How long does this list need to be before the Law Society starts to properly pull them up!
