Shame on the Gazette for quoting anything from a think tank.

"Think tanks" are simply dark money organisations who exist to provide a veneer of respectability and pseudo-expert opinion for the (almost universally undisclosed, and definitely undisclosed when it comes to Policy Exchange, which provides zero donor information) people, businesses and organisations who pay them.

Before quoting anything from them, why would you not ask them to provide a list of their funders (preferably verified by their accountants) and to disclose who paid or contributed to the work on this particular issue? If they do not or will not disclose who they are acting as a mouthpiece for, of what value is their opinion?
