It's regrettable today's post at 1249am received only downvotes. There are valid points made. They are absolutely correct that, as per the LEO guidelines, they will not investigate if the client complains of negligence. Yet the complaint form does include poor advice. The problem is the LEO isn't qualified to review advice, they're not qualified solicitors. And that's the problem with most Ombudsman services: the quality, qualifications and experience of the investigators, their case load volumes, (both points meaning unlike solicitors and Judges, they're not adept with detail), cursory decisions which are often largely their standard templates. No surprise then the news in this article.
