Oh just listen to the ancient legal dinosaurs above - has it never dawned on them that some ex-offenders have actually been honoured since their offending with OBEs and MBEs? If the Queen thinks they're worthy of a gong for their services to reducing reoffending why shouldn't they sit on the Bench?
They'd bring more to the court room in terms of common sense than any of those 'shock horror probe' reactionists above who are afraid to strike out in new directions - well done I say to the Chairman of the MA for being brave enough to speak common sense!
