I support both the protests and the work to rule. Too often do I, as a criminal solicitor, make concessions for and bend over backwards to accomodate the courts' and the CPS' inefficiencies. The time and money wasted by both is undoubtedly huge and they get away with murder whilst defence advocates are berated at any opportunity. Not tolerating this anymore and working to rule will make it clear that it is not the lawyers who are at fault, it's the courts system and the CPS.

To all those who protested today, well done. You have my utmost respect.
