There is a massive oversupply of LPC/BPTC graduates and has been for years.

If you cannot obtain a training contract or pupillage unfortunately this means you are not good enough. It is not about your face fitting, it means you are either doing something wrong or you just simply aren't up to the requisite quality standard to actually practice law.

Completing a law degree or the LPC does not mean you are good enough to actually qualify. This should be obvious given the laughable entry requirements for these qualifications (i.e. do you have the money and at third class degree, yes you do, welcome to the LPC)

McKenzie friends charging fees is an indictment of how bad things are getting, certainly not something to be celebrated or encouraged.
