Anon @ 03:10pm. PII Insurers should be able to tell the difference between the cowboys and genuine firms. All you need do is justify the decision to advise the client to accept. I do not think it is going to be difficult to defeat a spurious claim.

However, when you have a "pre-medical" offer settled for £1,000; or when you have a medical report clearly saying there's something more serious than whiplash, but a low settlement, or when you have a firm which gave a bribe to the claimant and is therefore out of pocket and desperate to recoup their money, it is another story.

FYI in a public news release, a large firm (I shall not name) proudly boasts how it intends to improve profitability by increasing the case load of its (unqualified) staff to average 350-400 each.
