This at least offers a reality check for the Bar. Let my learned friends ponder on horror stories of leading counsel who do not know how file a vat return, of the painless tidiness of despatching completed briefs back the solicitors office, of the comfort and detachment of never having to directly engage in brass tacks dialogue with shadey geezers; of etheral souls who gracefully ascend to the bench without ever grubbying their hands with the filthy lucre;never a sniff of error or impropriety in handling their client account to sully a gloriously sanitised trajectory.
