Graham, in part I agree, but when stripping out every shred of client care (save for what gets you paid and ensures compliance with the conduct rules etc) means you still spend about £600 in time dealing with a claim for which you get £500, well where do you go?

And what about a complex though low-ish value injury in an EL case? £900 for approx. £2,000 of time?

Do we take a success fee from the client (I don't at the moment)? Will that breach their human rights? If they get £10,000 but lose £2,500 does that truly count as access to justice?

It's now a case of almost zero client care otherwise ends will never meet.
