Ever tried to agree directions with an LIP Defendant?

I have a case where DJ made an order striking out claim on grounds that invoices were against different company. (Completely flawed decision, made without notice and without a hearing). I applied to set the decision aside and invited Defendant LIP to agree.

I then received no fewer than three letters over the course of the next weeks telling me how I was "disrespecting the decision of an experienced District Judge", insulting the court, and that he would be writing personally to the DJ to tell him of my impudence. I tried to point out that parties are supposed to seek agreement to things, and the reply was basically "the court will advise me what to do, not you".

This will not work. So therefore it will be implemented, probably overnight in November.
