The post 1970's model of factory based pyramidal hierarchy, achieved by nepotism, lock step, and the politics of jealous, greedy, sycophants has not served us all that well. From small, well trained & trusted firms giving sound advice the only thing that matters now is profit. The best road to that is exploitation. So give a young lawyer no legal training worth having, teach them monkey repetition to fill up cans of hours on the time sheet, cane the employed lawyers 8:30 to 22:00, tell them its all about 'being a partner one day', hammer the clients on bills, advise for the maximum benefit to you, grab as much as you can, bleed everyone dry, and then get out while the going is good. Just do not call yourself a lawyer. You are a sweat shop owner, there is a big difference. If a co-operative firm has adequate management, insurance, offices and facilities, and can work for clients and justice first while being socially responsible, I am all for them. I am done with these equity maximisers & idiot bean counters chanting 'slash costs, squeeze more, ramp up shareholder profit.' The service ethos has been destroyed and there is no honour anymore. Its not a profession, its a pig sty.

So bring on change.
