What a complete & utter farce! Being a freelancer, I shudder to think how much I have lost during this so called strike and for what?. Firms feel utterly betrayed and I doubt some of them will follow the 'protocol'. I have always maintained that we are not united. Our best bet would have been from the outset to withdraw from doing Duty Solicitor work. This would have brought the system to its knees. The bar also rightly advised the firms that have put in bids to withdraw their bids but did they listen, no. I would also love to know what the blasted 'constructive meeting' with Gove means. Those that attended the meeting said they cant discuss the recent cuts due to 'Chatham house rules'. What a load of drivel. They should all hang their heads in shame!
