Small point, but why did the judge have to remove the wife's anonymity to reveal this behaviour? Surely it could have been reported as V -v- V? I also seem to recall pretty similar incidents when I was in practice in the 1970s (and legal aid was relatively freely available), but all the abuse was then directed at the lawyers and the other party, and the judge did not have an e mail address and so was unaware of the facts of life with this type of aggressive LiP. The husband behaves like this because that is who he is - not because the state does not provide legal aid for someone who has in excess of three quarters of a million pounds in assets.
