So how does increasing small claims limit save the insurers that amount of money? There will still be 'small' claims being brought however, insurers representing Defendants will still have to pay damages, reasonable court fees and disbursements, and will not be able to recover their costs, even if they successfully defend a case. The whole thing is quite ridiculous. There is no way the insurance industry will pass that amount of money on to their customers and time will show them to be the disingenuous, conniving crooks that they are.
Defendant's costs have been irrecoverable since the introduction of QOCS (Qualified One-Way Costs Shifting)
