Do try and keep up at the back anon @ 5:53. £1k over 25 years is actually close to £2k today, adjusted for inflation, not £5k. A £2k limit would actually be a reasonable figure as frankly there's almoat no such thing these days as a SCT PI claim. A £5k limit however would capture a whole other level of complexity and uncertainty which the unrepresented public would not have a hope of dealing with without assistance.
