It seems to have been forgotten that we are officers of the court. We may not like the rules, but we, more than anyone, should at least play by them. If we try to circumvent them we undermine respect for the rule of law generally, and descend to the same ethical level as the dodgy clients we so readily condemn.

What this firm was doing was sharp practice. I'm extremely pleased the judge struck out the claims, and I sincerely hope they get hit heavily in the pocket as a result.
