The main object is to deter fraudulent 'whiplash' claims of which I have personally experience two.
Isn't it amazing that within 2 days of an accident a letter can drop on your doorstep from the alleged victim's solicitors. In both cases within my experience, solicitors from the north east and at the opposite end of the country to where the claimant lives, have managed to take instructions and deliver a letter of claim.
How does this happen?
It was inconceivable in both cases I experienced that 'whiplash' injury could have occurred.
This often fraudulent gravy-train must end.
