It seems, Mick, as if there were two appeals, one in November 2000, the second January 2003. The latter was successful. It seems as if a Dr. Williams denied there were any other relevant reports, whereas, to his knowledge, one existed saying the second baby to die had an infection which may have caused the death.

I feel that the only way a defence lawyer should proceed is to assume that the police and their experts are all lying, or withholding relevant evidence, or both.

'The rule of law', forget it, 'the rule of lies' more like.

The Sally Clark case is an indictment of the very system which is supposed, well, to indict.
