In my view there is a very real danger that far from 'securing' justice, doing away with the need to attend court in person will have the opposite effect. No matter what system is used - adversarial or inquisitorial - evidence is there to be TESTED: the parties to a civil dispute which goes to trial will almost always end up giving evidence but a judge's ability to assess that evidence must surely be compromised if s/he routinely deals with cases remotely.
