Anon 12.39 and everyone else who feels outraged/shocked/scandalised.
Here we go again!
The fact is that the alleged increase in fraudulent claims is NOT supported by any evidence other than anecdotes from the insurers.
The insurance industry is fundamentally dishonest in almost every aspect of its business whether it is falsifying the evidence to justify increased premiums to selling details of policyholders to 3rd parties, contacting clients directly behind solicitors backs to settle (undersettle) cases, sell dodgy insurance products (PPI etc) and bribery of government officials.
The Times ran an article this week taken wholesale from Aviva or Axa , can't remember which, saying claims cold calling is the bane of modern life. Remember the insurers are the ones who sell the policy holders details to unregulated CMC's at vast profit.
The SRA has hads no other agenda than to pulverise solicitors at the request of HMG and by proxy the insurance industry.
Its getting boring listening to the same old record over and over again...
