I agree with Anon at 4:42 pm, there is a lot of work that solicitors and other regulated legal practitioners do that is not reserved and therefore, in theory, anyone can do. To use the writer's dentist analogy, surely you wouldn't need to be regulated just to answer the phone at the surgery. I know that this issue of unregulated practitioners is one that the LSG constantly obsesses about, but please do raise the level of the argument to that of your readership.
