WHAT A DISGRACE!!!!! Law Society chief executive Catherine Dixon today urged solicitors to reflect on the centenary of the Battle of the Somme – and to take strength from what our forebears overcame...So as we reflect on the horrors of the past, we draw strength for the challenges of the future. If our predecessors can overcome the adversity they faced, we know that, united as a profession, we too can overcome ours.' WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT. Do not rely on the SOMME to justify the adversity that we face. 1 million people died at the Somme. To equate that to our profession is an insult to the people that died. Lawyers, footballers, normal everyday working class people, sent to war to die a miserable death in the mud of the Somme. Your arrogance and ignorance of the true horror of war, whether it be the Battle of the Somme, WW2, Vietnam, Iraq or Afganistan is Breathtaking. Shame on You.
