The firm is accused of being ambulance chasers who engaged local agents in Iraq to generate claims by Iraqis which they knew were or were likely to be untrue. The firm's actions are considered so reprehensible that they are facing not just the proceedings in the SDT but a referral by the Government to the National Crime Agency. They should more aptly have been called In Self Interest Lawyers. Soldiers who fought in Iraq, society, and specifically taxpayers, will be better off without them.
