This is the Tory neo-liberal free market in which everything is de-skilled. We have reservists instead of soldiers, nursing assistants instead of nurses and nurses instead of doctors. . We have plastic policemen instead of warranted officers. Benefit claimants instead of paid manual workers. We now have a two-tier structure at our airports in which a fee is paid for a normal service while delays and queues are normalised for everyone else - a form of institutionalised corruption in which a public official is paid a fee to perform a function his duties already require him to perform.

There is an established pattern in which everything is up for grabs, including lawyers.

The wealthy will enjoy a skilled Rolls Royce service because they are prepared to pay for it. The public will continue to suffer a deteriorating public service in all areas because hey cannot afford to pay in a minimum-waged economy
