I agreed about winning the war through the press, the disdvantage that the Claimant lobby has is that the Insurance lobby spends millions of pounds of year on advertising and uses that to influence newspapers to print articles in their favour, for example when Osborne made his announcement in the Autumn Statement there were articles that day in at least 3 national newspapers about fraud causing an increase in premiums.

James Dalton said this morning "“We will continue to press for early progress and will be using the coming days, as well as the forthcoming motor conference and all party parliamentary group on insurance and financial service meeting on 25 October to strongly communicate through national and trade media the impact that MoJ’s decision not to proceed has on motorists" so they are clearly going to use their financial clout with the print media to launch an all out attack on the Govt, our only hope is that A2J and APIL/Law Society are prepared for this and get the message out at the same time that they are making record profits despite claims and costs falling.
