The hysterical reaction to a decision made by three of our most senior and much respected Judges from the Brexit supporters is a demonstration of ignorance of and disrespect for our judiciary's work. Those who read this do not need me to spell out the reasons in any detail.
Unfortunately and rather more seriously the reaction also includes an implicit threat to and potential intimidation of the Judges. The nonsense of repeating the charge that the Judges are unelected and "not accountable" is terrifying.
We should hear from the Government and particularly from the PM and from the Lord Chancellor repudiating these misplaced attacks. The LC's job specification includes the duty to safeguard judicial independence. When she was appointed there were doubts expressed as to her suitability. Here is her chance to demonstrate that she understands what her job includes.
