The fact the SRA apply the wrong standard of proof when they can is not reason to lower the standard in the SDT, in fact it's the reverse the SRA should be compelled to apply the criminal standard to all cases.

To affect a professionals future career, earnings and reputation the SRA should prove their position.

Mr Philip misses the point totally - the SRA lack credibility as a regulator so should be judged to the highest standard to increase their credibility over time (as they prove themselves).
