I think that the only acceptable proposition is, to disregard their oeuvre, qualifications and experience and raise their Lordships on the back of public acclaim, nothing short of a talent show will suffice, perhaps 'Who wants to be an enemy of the people'?

Before you scoff and vote this down, think of the benefits:

1. The concept/package can be sold around the common law word and the re-runs on Dave will be a solid income stream for the MoJ for years to come.
2. The comedy factor of the judiciary not making references to an an umbrate point or adumbated model and having to deliver their Judgements in a style reminiscent of a football pundit will be significant and more importantly allow the public to have confidence that 'them judges get it, init'.
3. There would, in the grand talent show tradition be a few absolute howlers / no hopers who would win the public mood and in just falling short at the end give the eventual winners greater credibility.
4. While not entirely serious none of the above is as preposterous as some of the other policies that HMG have announced.
