A couple of years ago friends at the Bar told me the ICO was cracking down on barristers (as self employed individuals, easier to harass, was the presumed spur) and that one QC had been fined £40,000 for leaving locked in his car in a public carpark papers for a criminal case.

If true (which personally I doubt) LB Ealing got off lightly.

As for mistakes, I once lost a banker's draft (remember them?) on my way back from a completion ... fortunately everyone was very good about it and it was readily resolved. I had a very nervous few hours!
