What did they expect from a government that seems willing only to increase direct taxation, so that the insured will only think to blame insurers - or will the blame be passed on to PI claimants? - for the fact that the promised cut in their motor insurance premium has not manifest itself and their premiums for all other forms of insurance have gone up. But I suppose that it's equitable in a perverse sort of way - JAMs paying the same level of tax as millionaires. Now how long before I hear someone saying: 'that's not what I voted for when ....'!
