PI has its lighter side. Someone I know who works in the CMC sector told me about cold calling. When they ring up some unsuspecting member of the public and jog their memory about an accident the person usually says they are fine and it was only a little bump. Then when it begins to dawn on them that they can claim £2000 for whippy they start saying “come to think of it my neck does feel funny” and some even make little groaning noises on the phone
