I am incredulous at the number of these articles published, all with a similar content... an extremely wealthy, influential but increasingly out of touch legal/political representative has suggested that those without access to justice may be assisted by eating cake. The Law Society was quick to point out that it would vigorously oppose solicitors having to bake particularly complex cakes and if they were made to, it would publish a number of ineffectual articles repeating it's stance. A spokesperson for the SRA stated that it had already formulated a set of stringent tests, fees and fines for assessing a firm's baking potential, so as to ensure the legal profession would not be awash with soggy bottoms.
