Not sure if ever the CMA's common and usual 12-24 month plus investigations ever amount to any meaningful benefits to consumers or the markets they elect to report upon?

The OFT's considerations identifying and evidencing the UK's Private Motor Insurance markets' operations were not in the interests of UK consumers led to a further 2 years+ CMA investigation.

As all purchasers of motor insurance experience, little if anything has changed except for the rise of premiums. Additionally, 80% of consumers directed to use insurer network repairers, continue to receive defectively repaired vehicles.

Perhaps the CMA once is again following their government employers addition of another misunderstanding of solicitors, adding more misinformation to their anti-lawyer bandwagon?
