There is an " a bit of Fry and Laurie" sketch, set in a restaurant where a man's cutlery is taken away and replaced by about 10,000 plastic tea stirrers. When the customer complains, he is told that he should be happy, because he has so much more "choice". We all know that you have to work very hard to keep everything safe for the client and you have to know what you are doing. There is no way around this - certainly not insurance. Let the Civil servants make what rules they like. Sensible consumers know or learn, that you have to pay to get it done properly.
