Mr Soames has explained perfectly clearly why, for him and his practice, the changes Brexit will bring mean he believes he must requalify in the EU and remain there. That may be of little consequence to anyone else. However his decision is an example of the sort of consequence the Law Society fears from Brexit (as it hopes to keep "continued access for UK lawyers to practise law and base themselves in EU member states").

That concern is likely of no interest to anyone except those, like Mr Soames, who are directly affected by it. However it is an example of the many generally unregarded things that may be affected by Brexit, and which it is not unreasonable to consider including in either the precise terms of Brexit, or as things to seek to negotiate afresh post Brexit.
